KBM Styropactors

The KBM Styropactors are simple machines in the positive sense of the word. They are easy to install, operate and maintain.

A Styropactor consists of a hopper (where you input the EPS waste), a breaker arm and a compactor nose. As such, the compaction is done mechanically and the output is EPS bars of a density between 150-300 kg/m3.

Our product portfolio consists of a range from the Styropactor NANO suited for small shops to Styropactor MAXI XL PLUS suited for industrial production. Whatever your need may be, KBM will be able to recommend you the optimal solution for your company.

Cost reduction in connection with EPS foam waste

In many countries, companies face increasing costs in connection with their waste handling. Since EPS foam is very volumenous, it also represents a significant cost savings potential with the right equipment.

EPS foam consists of 98% air and just 2% solid waste, the space required after compacting is thus dramatically reduced. In most developed countries, there are companies specialized in collecting and using compacted EPS foam for further processing into new moulded polystyrene products.

If you have a constant flow of EPS foam waste, it may also represent a constant flow of revenues. At KBM we coorporate with many different companies through-out Europe who offer to buy your compacted EPS foam waste.

Find the right machine for your need

Our Styropactor range covers production capacity from 10 kg/hour and up to 130 kg/hour.

To put a bit more perspective on the capacity, our smalles Styropactor called Styropactor NANO has a capacity of 10-15 fish boxes per hour whereas our largest Styropactors compact up to about 200 boxes per hour.

As a rule of thumb, small shops and fisheries do well with our Nano, Micro and Mini Styropactors, while Supermarkets, Large electronic stores and food processing companies typically needs a higher capacity with our Styropactor Maxi range.

Other factors to consider before investing in a KBM Styropactor

Before you decide on which Styropactor fits your need, you also need to consider your existing power supply and the characteristics of your EPS waste.

Our NANO, MICRO and MINI (both 1-phase & 3-phase) Styropactors can be built with 1-phase power supply (like a regular vacuum cleaner) if you do not have 3-phase connections. The MINI and MAXI models are supplied with 3-phase voltage.

The characteristics of your EPS foam waste is also important. You don’t want to invest in a Styropactor and then find out that the hopper is too small for your typical foam waste. Download our technical data sheet for more information on the hopper size, electrical load, capacity etc.
